Causes of Eosinophilia
1. Allergic Reactions
2. Specific Syndromes (presumed hypersensitivity)
3. Parasitic Infections
4. Inflammatory Skin Diseases
5. Autoimmune Disorders
7. Inherited Disorders
1. Eosinophil count greater than 1500/uL
2. If eosinophil count stays elevated for more than 6 months, it could lead to the infiltration of the eosinophils into various organs such as the mysocardium and cause damage.
3. If treatment is needed, corticosteroids and hydroxyurea may be used.
