Patient preferences for therapy vary widely, with some patients choosing to avoid side effects & others willing to accept side effects for a chance of survival.
One study noted 53% of patients were willing to accept side effects of chemotherapy for a 1% chance of cure; more than 40% would do likewise to add 3 months of life.....
